Frequently asked questions
Answers for sign makers and agencies about our channel letter profiles, specifications, files, lighting, lead times and delivery.
Do you sell to end customers?
No. SmileSign is a trade production partner: we manufacture for sign makers, sign companies and advertising agencies. You keep the relationship with your client and the design; we produce to your specification.
Which types of channel letters do you make?
We build 11 standard profiles in four groups: cut-out and non-illuminated letters (SML 1–2), back-lit halo letters (SML 3 and 3 EXCLUSIVE), front-lit channel letters (SML 4, 4 EXCLUSIVE, 5 ECO and 6) and acrylic or vacuum-formed letters (SML 7–9).
What do I need to specify when ordering?
Six things: application method, base material, return depth, RAL colour and finish, mounting option and lighting. The data sheet of each profile lists the available options.
Which files should I send?
Vector artwork – for example PDF, AI, EPS or DXF – together with letter heights, quantities, colours, lighting and installation details.
Which materials and finishes are available?
Aluminium, stainless steel, acrylic, composite and PVC foam. Finishes include RAL paint, electrostatic powder coating, foil and stainless finishes such as mirror, brushed and gold mirror.
Which lighting options do you offer?
Front-lit, back-lit (halo), combined front and back lighting, and side-lit acrylic letters, depending on the profile. LED modules are fitted in the required colour and supplied with a suitable power supply.
How long does production take?
Lead time depends on the profile, quantity and finish. We confirm it together with the quotation, before production starts.
How are the letters packed and shipped?
Every order is carefully packed for transport to your workshop. The delivery method is agreed with the quotation.
Can I download technical data sheets?
Yes. Every profile page has a PDF data sheet, and the channel letters overview lists all 11 data sheets.
Are you certified?
Our parent company Sentez Reklam is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environment) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health & safety).
Do you make other signage besides letters?
Yes: totems and pylons, displays and stands, fuel station signage, roof and road signs, wayfinding and lightboxes, and indoor and outdoor digital print.
How do I get a price?
Send your artwork, sizes, quantities and delivery country through the quote form or by email. We reply with the right profile, materials and a quotation.
